The original, american, Phantom has a purple costume with blue and black srtiped under-wears. Lee Falks thought was a grey phantom but he was on a holliday the first time the Phantom was coloured so since the spring 1939 the Phantom is purple.							In Sweden the atempts to make a purple colour resulted in a blue costume. To avoid that the underwears looked black they become red and black striped.
		In Italy the purple colour became more and more red and soon the costume was totaly red. The underwears are blue and blackstriped.					In South America the Phantom has the red Italian custume,but the under-wears are yellow and black striped.
In New Zealand the Phantom has a yellow-brown coloured costume.									In Australia The Phantom once in the thirties appeard in a light green costume.
