Who the original designer of the swedish Phantom-logotype was is forgotten but a qualified guess is that it was Ebbe Zetterstad created the famous comic logo that been quite the same trough the years. It was changesd a bit allready in no 3/1950 but then it kept it's look until no 1/1962, when it was changed a lot. The rounded parts was "cutted" so the letters got sharp edges instead. It was Ebbe Zetterstad together with Göte Bodin who did this change.
No. 1/1962
The modified logo has been the same exept for some small changes. From no 1/1977 to no 13/1982 it was a bit diagonally and a striped trangle shape with price and other info was added. The triangle dissapered with number 1/1989. In no 21/1990 the words "Lee Falk's" was added over the logotype and from no 1/1997 there was a ghosty aura around it all. From no. 1/2002 the ghosty aura was removed and the logo was modified with a glossy emboss shape. This effect was removed in no.17/2004. At the same time a smokie skull was placed in the middle of the logo.

Different logotypes has been
used at some other publications than the Phantom magazine. For example the Beta-pocket from 1993, the anual christmas albums and the Sy Barry sunday-books, but most of the time the traditional logo has been used.
